September Snaps – Day 2

Todays photo, what with it being Father’s Day in New Zealand, is of Leo.

Such a busy time too!

The day started with home made (and very good) pancakes made by Bex and coffee.

We’ve had some friends (Anna, Mark & little Mat) from Auckland down with us this weekend, so it was then off to Te Papa for a quick spin around the lower floor before a spot of lunch and then home.

An afternoon of play in the front room, before they needed to head off to the airport to catch the flight back home.

All in all a great day.

Funny thing though, I don’t have any recollection of any specific Father’s Days with my Dad. I remember making various gifts, but not the day itself.

Foto Feb – Day 20

Fun at the park today with Leo and Diane.

I took this through the middle of some monkey bar like contraption.

Excellent weather and energetic play is always a good way to end a work day. Everyone has a great time and Leo even gets to watch big yellow buses stop right opposite.

30 days of me – Day 7

Day 07 – A picture of someone/something that has the biggest impact on you

This little guy here has the biggest impact on me. He’s only been here 19mths now (born 31/05/10), but has made so many changes to our lives already. He makes us want to be better people, is the reason for me joining a gym (to help keep up with him and not sound too out of breath all the time). Makes us laugh when he’s happy, and makes us feel sad when he’s upset or ill.

I want to be a good parent, I want to be able to run around with him and have fun, I want to be able to bring him up in the best environment possible.

Very few things in the World are as genuine as a baby’s laugh. They don’t know anything different, and certainly don’t know how to pretend to do things at that age (although he can be a sneaky, cheeky little watsit now :-)).

Going into work early and finishing early to pick him up. Taking him to the park after work is, usually, a great way to unwind after a busy day.
